Ipswich Beacon Marina
Opened in 2000, Ipswich Beacon Marina (formally Ipswich Haven Marina) is the award winning 320-berth facility situated in the Wet Dock at the Port of Ipswich. Standing at the head of the River Orwell, the marina is equipped with a host of facilities, including washing and laundry facilities, as well as a chandlery, boatyard services, and a fuel supplier.
The River Orwell is lined by beautiful, scenic countryside and was voted by the Royal Yachting Association as one of the most picturesque rivers in the country. The cruising area included the rivers Deben, Blackwater, Crouch and Thames, making Ipswich Beacon Marina the ideal base for cruises to destinations such as Lowestoft, Great Yarmouth, Woodbridge and London. Lowestoft Beacon Marina
Opened in 2003, Lowestoft Beacon Marina (formally Lowestoft Haven Marina) provides 128 fully serviced pontoon berths for vessels up to 20m LOA. The School Road site is situated on Lake Lothing which lies less than two nautical miles from the bridge at the Port of Lowestoft and five minutes from Mutford Lock. Both are ideal locations offering easy access for leisure boat users to the Norfolk and Suffolk Broads, as well as the shores of Holland, Belgium and France.
The marina is equipped with a range of services and facilities, to help make your stay comfortable, convenient and safe for you and your boat. The sea channel is marked with buoys and lit (see attached chart) with sufficient depth for yachts at most states of tide. Call Fleetwood Dock Radio on VHF Channel 12 (Tel 01253 872351) for permission to enter the dock channel.
Yachts can enter or depart, the marina up to 1.5 hours either side of high water depending on tide heights and weather conditions.
