The 5th ABP Humber Coastal race in Cleethorpes will take place on Sunday 19th September. This year it will be in the form of a lovely flat and scenic 10km race, which takes in everything fantastic about Cleethorpes. With a start on Kings Road the route takes runners through the Meridian showground, through the Haven and Fitties sites then onto the wonderful coastal footpath for the long run back into the resort, with a rousing finish on the Promenade.

Every finisher will receive a race tee shirt, bespoke medal as well as some seaside rock.

The race will again be supporting the life saving work that Cleethorpes RNLI do to keep people safe, as well as support for several local community groups who will receive a financial donation for their support.

Neil Pattison from organisers Tape2Tape said:

“We are absolutely delighted to be given the green light to organise the ABP Humber Coastal 10k this year. We still very much have Covid-19 as part of our extensive planning and will put appropriate measures in place after consultation with the local Public Health England team. This will be a great opportunity for runners to take part in a coastal 10km race which provides wonderful far reaching views over the Humber. It will be a day to remember.”

Dafydd Williams, Head of Communications, Policy and Economic Development at ABP Humber, said:

“We are delighted to be in the fifth year of holding the ABP Humber Coastal event. We really enjoy sponsoring a brilliant community event, but with safety at the forefront of everything we do, we have had to scale back to a 10km celebration run. The event gives the option to join in on the day, and getting to see the beautiful seaside views, or joining in on your own route virtually, it means everyone has the opportunity to receive a fabulous medal and t-shirt. We look forward to seeing the full event return next year, but in the meantime, stay safe and keep running.”
