What an incredible evening at City Cruise Terminal at ABP Southampton last night as we hosted our third charity quiz night.
This year, we are proud to support Abby’s Heroes, a charity local to the port that provides vital support to young people and their families affected by cancer. When families arrive at University Hospital Southampton and receive a devastating diagnosis, many arrive with little more than their car keys and a half‑charged phone. Abby’s Heroes step in immediately, providing essential support packs containing everything from meal vouchers and phone chargers to pyjamas, activity books and snacks
These packs are just the beginning. The charity also funds support workers on the Piam Brown Ward, provides financial grants—particularly important when a parent may need to reduce their working hours—and offers a family room at the hospital, creating a much‑needed “home from home”.
Thanks to ticket sales and fundraising on the night, we raised an incredible £8,500 for Abby’s Heroes.
As always, the event was brilliantly supported, bringing together our customers, port partners and staff to enjoy a quiz, fish and chips, a drink or two, and—most importantly—to raise money for a fantastic local charity.
