ABP Southampton is proud to announce the successful completion of the Pedal, Paddle, Pace Triathlon by its dedicated team on Sunday, 13 July. The event, in Winchester, held during one of the hottest days of the year, saw the team push through challenging conditions to support a vital cause.
Through their efforts, the team raised over £4,500 for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, a charity that provides critical emergency medical services across the region.
Will Jeffery, Head of Engineering and Asset Management at ABP Southampton said: “We’re incredibly proud of our team for their commitment, resilience, and community spirit. Their achievement not only highlights their determination but also supports an organisation that plays a crucial role in saving lives across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.”
Judith Stephens, Supporter Engagement Officer at Hampshire, and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance said: “A huge thank you to everyone who took part in and supported the team in their triathlon. It’s a monumental effort to not only complete the challenge, but to raise such a significant amount of money. £4,500 could fund vital equipment that ensures we give our patients the best chance of survival and recovery.”
The Pedal, Paddle, Pace Triathlon combines cycling, kayaking, and running, testing participants’ endurance and teamwork. ABP Southampton’s participation reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to supporting local charities and promoting health and wellbeing among its staff.
The team at the port are already considering their next charity challenge for 2026, with the 3 peaks challenge, a 100 km cycle challenge, and this triathlon under their belts, they are looking at options to complete an ultra-walking challenge or similar next.
