ABP Southampton is preparing to welcome thousands of runners to the ABP Southampton Marathon on Sunday 7 April. In its ninth year, the event has attracted more and more runners and developed to offer five races, including a marathon, half marathon, 10k and 5k, plus a family fun run, ensuring its accessible to the whole running community.

The races start and finish at Southampton Guildhall. The route includes landmarks across the city, including Southampton Bargate, the infamous Itchen Bridge, Southampton Football Stadium, Riverside Park, and Southampton Common.

ABP’s ongoing sponsorship of the Southampton Marathon is a key part of the ABP series, a programme of support for mass participation wellness events close to its port locations in 2024. These include Cleethorpes (near ABP’s Port of Grimsby), Newport, Cardiff, and Ipswich. Events are open to all and include two marathons, four half-marathons, three 10K runs, and two 5K runs.
