Future Ports: Barry
Triggering a virtuous growth cycle for the town and Port
This paper sets our vision for Barry.
Barry is a place of revolution. Barry grew from a tiny village of 100 people in 1871 to the largest coal export facility in the world by 1913 – and ever since then, the town and Port has been riding waves of social and industrial change.
We think the next big wave of change is on the horizon. Our vision paper helps us get positioned for the decarbonised economy that is coming, and then aims to help us work together with our partners and stakeholders to maximise the benefits of the coming economy for the town, customers and communities we serve.
