As part of the extension in the range of services offered, ABP will also undertake to provide a bagging service to Helm. Mike Sellers, Deputy Port Manager of ABP’s Ports of Hull & Goole said: “I am very pleased with the performance of our operations team which discharged the fertiliser. This new efficient shipment and processing of the cargo demonstrates the range of services that we can provide to our customers.” Mark Wood, Managing Director, Helm Great Britain Ltd, said: “It is a real benefit to our customers that we can now use another ABP port to import our fertiliser. The Port of Hull now offers the range of facilities and services that we need." The Hull All Weather Terminal can accommodate ships of up to 13.5m (air) draught completely within the enclosed terminal. As a result the terminal offers uninterrupted operations in all weather conditions from and to the ship and within the storage areas. The terminal also enjoys a completely undercover rail connection. Following the recent granting of a Control of Major Accident Hazards (COMAH) licence, the Hull All weather Terminal is now able to handle and store fertiliser cargoes. - ends - ![]() 9th February 2010
