ABP LAUNCHES CSR REPORT FOR 2006
Associated British Ports Holdings Ltd (ABP) today, 30 March 2007, has announced the publication of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Report for 2006.
The report details ABP’s CSR performance for what was an extremely important year in the strategic development of the Company. During 2006, ABP achieved 24 of the 27 CSR targets that had been set for the year, with highlights including further improvements made to the Company’s performance in relation to its employees, health and safety record and sustainable development.
Bo Lerenius, CBE, ABP’s Group Chief Executive, who today retires from his position at the helm of the Company, has overseen the development of ABP’s CSR policy since the publication of the Group’s first report, which was produced for the year 2002.
Commenting on the 2006 report, he said: “At ABP, we believe that the effective management of our social responsibilities is integral to the attainment of our long-term business objectives and I am delighted to be able to say that, during what was my last year with ABP, we made good progress with our CSR targets and initiatives. I am confident that the Company will continue to develop these practices in the future.”
