ABP STATEMENT - CRUISE SHIP 'THE CALYPSO'
A spokesman for ABP said: “We can confirm that cruise ship The Calypso is being towed to the Port of Southampton, where the ship’s passengers can be disembarked rapidly through the port’s cruise-handling facilities. The Calypso had been travelling to Guernsey when a fire was reported in the ship’s engine room. No injuries have been reported.
“We have been working with the MCA and the fire authorities throughout.”
