ABP BARROW HOSTS MAJOR POWERBOAT EVENT
Associated British Ports’ (ABP) Port of Barrow is hosting a national grand prix for powerboats on 7th and 8th June.

The event – which is being organised by the Windermere Motor Boat Racing Club – will be the largest gathering of top powerboat racers in Britain for 20
years, and will feature past and present world champions.

Commenting on the event, Steven Young, ABP Port Manager, Barrow & Silloth, said:

"We are delighted to welcome the Windermere Motor Boat Racing Club back to the Port of Barrow to host this National grand prix race event. With up to 60 power boats and a number of world champions taking part, an exciting weekend of racing is assured. Working closely with Barrow Borough Council, we are pleased to play a major role in the regeneration of Barrow, and to be attracting a growing numbers of visitors to the town."
