ABP SOUTHAMPTON APPOINTS NEW SALES MANAGER
Ian Palacio, 35, has been appointed to the position of Sales Manager at Associated British Ports’ (ABP) Port of Southampton.
Prior to this appointment, Ian held the post of Commercial Manager at ABP’s Head Office in London for two years, before which he held the post of Operations Officer at ABP Southampton, where he began his career with the port company in 1998.
A graduate of Plymouth Polytechnic, with a BSc (Hons) degree in Nautical Studies, Ian joined ABP from Geest Line where he was the line’s Operations Coordinator.
Andrew Kent, ABP Port Director, Southampton, said:
“In this new role, Ian’s strong operational background, commercial experience and knowledge of the Port of Southampton will ensure that he plays an integral part in developing Southampton’s key trades and growing the port’s business.”
Ian is married with one child.
