NEW GROUP SAFETY MANAGER APPOINTED FOR UK’S LARGEST PORTS GROUP
Steve Giblin, 37, has been named as the new Group Safety Manager of Associated British Ports Holdings PLC (ABPH); his appointment will take effect from 21 July.

Mr Giblin will be joining ABPH from US-based manufacturing firm Textron Inc. where he held the post of European and Asian Health, Safety and Security Manager. Previously, Mr Giblin also served as Group Health and Safety Manager of the brewery company, Carlsberg.

Steve Giblin is a member of both the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management and the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health, and holds a diploma in Occupational Safety and Health.

Ian Schofield, ABP Engineering Director and Group Health & Safety Director, said:

Mr Giblin is married with two children and lives in Warrington, Cheshire.
