AMPORTS is a leading automotive processor based in the USA. Its six terminals are based at four port locations – Baltimore, Maryland; Benicia, California; Brunswick, Georgia; and Jacksonville, Florida. In addition to port operations such as receiving, inspection, storage and export preparation, AMPORTS’ operations extend into high-level value-added services such as customisation, port modification and upfitting.
The Port of Benicia is located within the 1,600 ha Benicia Industrial Park, the world’s largest port-focused industrial complex. AMPORTS has the capability to store and process 42,000 vehicles at any one time. The deep-water facilities are set on 273 ha of privately-owned land, one-third of which is dedicated to vehicle storage with 13,000 sq m of vehicle-processing buildings. AMPORTS also operates four independent rail ramps, providing direct siding to transcontinental routes.
