Dry bulks
King’s Lynn is well placed to serve the agricultural heartland that is East Anglia, and regularly handles a wide range of commodities including cereals and pulses, animal feed, fertilisers and aggregates.
King’s Lynn offers:
- the 25,000-tonne capacity Alexandra Silo Complex, operated by ABP on behalf of Dalgety Arable Ltd. This facility includes state-of-the-art laboratory facilities, offering the full range of quality-assured cereals testing on site
- a 6,000-tonne capacity silo and supplementary flat stores for cereals and pulses, together with specialist animal-feed stores for soya meals and other products. This facility is owned and operated by Agrilynk Ltd
- four new bulk stores with up to 14,000 tonnes’ capacity for cereals and fertilisers
- a 9,000-tonne capacity bulk store primarily for fertiliser storage, with bagging and blending equipment provided in dedicated bays and operated by King’s Lynn Bagging and Handling
- a range of high-capacity mobile grain elevators enabling efficient loading for cereal exports
- plant for storage, blending and coating of aggregates, operated by RMC (Eastern Counties) Ltd
- handling of aggregates both in-dock and on Riverside Quay for local and regional receivers
