Ro-ro traffic accounts for the largest proportion of the port’s annual throughput and facilities have been greatly expanded in recent years. There are11 ro-ro berths in the enclosed docks and one on the riverside. The Rotterdam Terminal accommodates Pride of Hull and Pride of Rotterdam – the new super-cruise-ferries operated by P&O Ferries on the Hull-Rotterdam crossing.

Hull offers:

  • 11 ro-ro berths within the enclosed dock system - one at Alexandra Dock and 10 at King George & Queen Elizabeth Docks, and one outside berth on the riverfront
  • daily passenger and freight sailings operated by P&O Ferries between Hull and Rotterdam and Hull and Zeebrugge
  • the addition by P&O Ferries of two new super-cruise ferries- Pride of Rotterdam and Pride of Hull - on the Hull to Rotterdam route, which came into service during 2001
  • the Rotterdam Terminal, a modern new passenger terminal to accommodate the new super-cruise ferries
