Fresh Produce & Perishables Fleetwood’s busy fish market has been based at the port for over 90 years, and its fish-auction hall handles around 5,000 tonnes of fish each year. Approximately half of the fish is received overland from Scottish and other ports, destined for local receivers. Over 800 m of quay frontage is available, as well as a cold store and a 650-tonne capacity slipway. Passengers & Cruises The Isle of Man Passenger Terminal, located within the harbour outside the enclosed dock, has occasional summer sailings between Fleetwood and Douglas, operated by the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company. Ro-Ro Fleetwood is a major port for ro-ro traffic to and from Northern Ireland. Stena Line (Irish Sea) Ltd runs three daily sailings from the port’s ro-ro terminal to Larne in Northern Ireland. Purpose-built vessels of up to 109-trailer capacity accommodate a variety of wheeled cargoes via the terminal’s two-lane, 180-tonne capacity linkspan, which enables rapid turnaround of vessels.
