UK Dredging (UKD) is operator of the largest British-owned dredging fleet, including both trailer suction and grab dredgers, equipped with the latest satellite position fixing and dredge monitoring technology.
UKD uses one of the most modern and efficient dredging fleets in the UK. Its highly skilled team and advanced fleet of vessels provide cost-effective and reliable capital and maintenance dredging services, to both its parent company, ABP, and its third-party clients throughout the UK and Europe. From its base in South Wales, UKD carries out over half the annual maintenance dredging requirement of the UK.
UKD has undertaken contracts in the fields of beach replenishment, remedial pipeline works and large-scale construction jobs, together with routine maintenance and capital dredging projects.
In 2010 UKD upgraded its fleet of dredgers with a new vessel, the UKD Orca, a trailing suction hopper dredger, with a hopper capacity of some 2,300 cubic metres.
